Rug Protection You Need

Every area rug needs a pad. A rug pad will protect your hard wood floors from dirt and rocks that may get caught in or under your rug. Pads can extend the life of your rug and floors by protecting the floor from both the bottom of the rug as well as small pebbles and dirt. If your area rug is in a high traffic area like a living room or entryway, they provide added grip from sliding, and adequate cushion for walking on. Some of DOCK86’s will also protect your flooring from discoloration, as fluids and liquids can become trapped in rugs and bleed through the colors if your rug is not properly cleaned.   DOCK86’s introductory level rug pad by Suregrip. Provides the minimum amount of protection to your vinyl floors while still gripping tightly to prevent sliding. Perfect for rugs found in low traffic but dirty areas such as laundry rooms or basements. Perfect for keeping your rug from slipping, but will not prevent pebbles from going through to your floor.

  The Comfort Grip rug pad is DOCK86’s second tier pad. The ideal rug pad for a moderately-trafficked area of your home such as a den or finished basement. Perfect for keeping your rug from slipping, but will not prevent pebbles from going through to your floor.

  Luxehold rug pads are the best for large area rugs made of wool as they offer the best protection and durability. Reversible, cushioned comfort and protection makes this the ideal pad for uneven surfaces to help prevent puckering under heavy furniture.
